This training series explores the impact of domestic violence and child abuse on children and families, with a focus on trauma-informed, multidisciplinary responses. Participants will examine the intersection of domestic violence and child maltreatment, the complexities of child disclosure and recantation, and how trauma influences children's behaviors and family dynamics. The sessions emphasize improving safety, strengthening investigations, and supporting healing-centered, coordinated responses for children and caregivers.

This training examines child exploitation and human trafficking through a trauma-informed, investigative lens. Participants will explore how bias and misconceptions affect the identification of victimization, the complexities of trafficking in rural and familial contexts, and the impact of grooming and coercion on children and adolescents. The sessions also focus on forensic interviewing considerations, case-building challenges, and multidisciplinary strategies for identifying, responding to, and supporting vulnerable children impacted by exploitation and trafficking.
