Share Your Voice on New Mexico’s Education Plan
📣 You're Invited: Help Shape the Future of Education in New Mexico
The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) is inviting families, students, educators, and community members to take part in an important statewide effort to improve education for all students. A series of regional community meetings will be held throughout August—both in-person and online—to gather public input for the Martinez/Yazzie Action Plan.
This plan is New Mexico’s official response to a court ruling that found the state must do more to provide a sufficient and equal education for all students. Your voice is needed to ensure the plan reflects the strengths and needs of our communities.

ℹ️ Meeting Details:
  • All meetings are free and open to the public.
  • Meals, childcare, and interpretation (Spanish, ASL, and others as needed) will be provided.
  • Topics include: quality instruction, educator support, student services, fair funding, and data systems.
📍 Regional Meeting Dates:
  • August 5: Farmington, Española, Las Cruces
  • August 6: Raton
  • August 7: Santa Fe, Mescalero, Clovis
  • August 14: Silver City, Zuni, Carlsbad
  • August 20: Albuquerque
